The connector on the car end and the plug on the wall end solve two different problems. Check both before you choose.
North America: J1772 or NACS
AmpByte’s North American collection includes SAE J1772 and SAE J3400 (NACS) versions. Choose the one that matches your vehicle’s AC charging inlet. Vehicle make alone is not enough: model year and market matter.
Europe: Type 2
The European Omni collection uses Type 2 at the car. Select the charger version, supply phase and approved power adapter to match the installation. Check your vehicle’s maximum AC rate before selecting a higher-power version.
An adapter is not a universal permission slip
Use only adapters approved for the charger and the particular supply. A modular adapter can change the wall connection; it cannot increase the car’s charging limit or the circuit’s safe capacity. Do not select a charger based on an unverified adapter combination.
