1. Pair a supported connected charger

Install Tuya Smart through your official app store. With the EV disconnected, let the charger finish its self-test. Hold the A key for 8 seconds until Wi-Fi flashes. Enable Bluetooth on your phone, tap + → Add Device and connect using 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. Follow your hardware manual if your controls differ.

2. Tell it your actual electricity prices

Go to Settings → Rate Plan. Enter the prices and hours from your utility tariff for weekdays and weekends. Save the profile, then select and confirm it as the active plan.

3. Build a schedule

In Settings → Smart Schedule, add ON and OFF events in your preferred lower-rate window. Set a permitted charging current. Save weekday and weekend plans, then choose the saved schedule under Home → Charging Mode → Scheduled.

4. Keep the routine simple

Use one scheduler: MiniApp or the vehicle. Connect the car and leave the charger powered. Check the selected plan, mode and any required Charging Approval before walking away.

5. Let the session record finish

When ending a session, follow the hardware manual to unlock and remove the EV connector while the charger remains powered and online. Wait for standby and record upload before removing supply power. Pausing alone does not complete the record.

For installation, electrical connection and safe handling, the exact charger’s hardware manual takes priority. This guide explains software operation only.
