How do I pair my charger with the app?

For supported connected models, install Tuya Smart from your official app store. With the EV disconnected and the charger self-test complete, hold the A key for 8 seconds until the Wi-Fi indicator flashes. Enable phone Bluetooth, choose + → Add Device and follow the prompts using a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. The sequence comes from the supplied MiniApp 2.0 guide; follow your hardware manual if controls differ.

Pairing failed. What should I check?

Confirm 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi is enabled, Bluetooth is on, the EV is disconnected and the charger is in pairing mode. Move closer to the router and repeat the pairing sequence. Holding the A key may clear an existing Wi-Fi association.

Why did my charging schedule not start?

Check the active charging mode and saved schedule, your Rate Plan times, and whether Charging Approval is waiting for authorization. Turn off the vehicle scheduler if you use MiniApp Scheduled mode. When both schedules are active, their windows must overlap.

Does a delay of 02:30 mean a 2:30 a.m. start?

No. The charger LCD delay is a countdown. 02:30:00 means charging begins after 2 hours and 30 minutes. Use Scheduled mode for repeating clock-time schedules.

Why is a completed session missing from Statistics?

The supplied app guide says physical removal of the EV connector triggers the completed-record upload. Leave the charger powered and online, unlock and remove the connector according to the hardware instructions, then wait for standby and upload before removing supply power. Pausing alone does not close the session.

Why do my cost or savings figures look wrong?

Check currency, Rate Plan prices, tariff periods and the active plan. Update your plan after a utility price change. Older records may not recalculate. The app estimates cost for reference; it is not a utility billing meter.

Do Solar Only and DLB need extra hardware?

Yes. The supplied catalog specifies a compatible smart meter on the main incoming supply for app-based Solar Only and DLB. SDM01-12TS is the app-integrated meter described in the catalog. DLB-A1 is a separate standalone 433 MHz monitor, not a MiniApp-managed meter. Confirm the exact charger and meter combination before purchase.

Is Dynamic Rate available to everyone?

No. The September 2026 MiniApp guide describes it as a paid subscription feature for selected beta testers. It depends on the market, tariff data source, account and supported product. Manual time-of-use rates and smart schedules are separate features.

What should I do if a protection warning repeats?

Stop charging and follow the hardware manual supplied with your charger. Do not repeatedly reconnect to force charging or bypass a protective function. Prepare the model, serial number, firmware/app version, message screenshot and event time for support. Have the electrical supply assessed by a qualified electrician where needed.

Can I order an AmpByte charger now?

The collection is in prelaunch. You can explore products and save a configuration in your bag on this device. Pricing, shipping destinations, included accessories, warranty terms and approved sales links will appear before orders open. No payment is collected today.

Which connector should I choose?

Check your vehicle’s AC charging inlet and manual. North American Omni and Go have J1772 and NACS/J3400 versions; European Omni uses Type 2. Connector fit, supply voltage, phase, circuit capacity and the vehicle’s AC limit all matter.

What is the difference between W and P wallboxes?

The European wallbox tables list W models with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Tuya; P models use Wi-Fi and OCPP 1.6J. Do not assume a P model has the same MiniApp experience. Both tethered and socketed families have 7, 11 and 22 kW versions.

Are Omni and Flex adapters interchangeable?

No interchangeability is established by the catalog. Omni-Connect, Flex-Link and M211 fixed-charger adapter leads are separate families. Use the adapter approved for the exact charger. The adapter guide shows their individual models and current limits.

Does a 22 kW charger always charge at 22 kW?

No. The vehicle’s onboard AC charger, supply phase and capacity, cable, adapter and charger all set limits. A 22 kW model on a lower-capacity setup cannot deliver its maximum rating.
